Oakwood Team Leader

The Rossendale Trust provides supported living to adults with learning disabilities in Macclesfield and Buxton. Our Oakwood Activity Service provides invaluable support to individuals and families in the community.
We are currently recruiting a Team Leader at Oakwood to lead a team consisting of Activity Leaders, Activity Support, Personal Assistants and Volunteers, who provide the highest standard of support to service users visiting the Oakwood Service.
Principal responsibilities include:

- To support the Head of Day Opportunities in monitoring and adapting the staff team to meet the needs of the service users
- In the absence of the Head of Day Opportunities, to be responsible for the management of the service
- To undertake the day to day supervision of Activity Leaders, Activity Support, Personal Assistants and Volunteers, ensuring that they have everything in place to carry out their job
- To be the first point of contact for any staff issues and carry out staff supervisions
- To actively contribute to the team and mentor staff in the planning of activity sessions
- To build and maintain appropriate relationships with service users, relatives, colleagues and external professionals
- To complete individual assessments of need for all service users in partnership with Local Authority, family members, advocates, service users and other interested parties
- To be responsible for all recording systems and ensure that accurate and complete records relating to each service user are kept up to date
- To be flexible and willing to work across a variety of settings to meet the needs of the service

Salary:
£19,336.05 per annum.
Hours:
24 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm
