Our Accommodation

Home for life

Our accommodation is a home for life where our tenants are free to live their lives how they want to. Family and friends are able to visit whenever it suits and they can get involved as much, or as little, as they want. We also support our tenants to visit friends, family, go on trips and holidays and we are always there to help them do this. Tenants have their own room where they can keep their own personal possessions. They can choose exactly how they want it decorated and what furniture to have. Our staff regard themselves as guests in the tenants’ home and fully respect this.

Funding

The local authority is responsible for a needs assessment of each of our tenants, which then translates into a package of care for that person to meet their ‘eligible’ needs. This means the support needs which the local authority is required by law to fund, so that suitable, individual care and support can be provided by Rossendale Trust staff.

Along with the local authority, our Family Liaison Officer we will be there every step of the way to help tenants and their families/carers find out the level of benefits that they are entitled to. These help to pay for:

• Housing and accommodation
• Food and bills for electricity, telephone etc               
• Activities, hobbies, holidays and personal spending money
