Marathon Heroes Raise Over £15,000 for the Rossendale Trust
We’re sending a huge thank you to our incredible team of marathon runners who went the extra mile—quite literally—for the Rossendale Trust this April.
Between them, five incredible runners took on the world-famous London Marathon, while three more tackled the streets of Manchester—raising a remarkable £15,000 to support adults with learning and physical disabilities. Among the London team was long-time supporter Torbjorn Eyre, who completed his 19th marathon in true heroic style, dressed as a Gladiator! He was joined in the capital by Vicky, Gavin, George, and Sean. Meanwhile, representing the Trust in Manchester were Michelle, Matt, and Rachael—each one going the distance to make a real difference.
Their determination and energy will help us continue delivering our vital services —enabling people to build confidence, learn new skills, and live more independently.
“We are incredibly proud and grateful to our marathon runners,” said Sue Heaven, Head of PR & Fundraising. “Running a marathon takes serious commitment, and the fact that these amazing individuals also raised such a phenomenal amount makes their achievement even more special. Their efforts will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of the people we support.”
We’re truly grateful to every runner, donor, and supporter who helped make this achievement possible.
