Mary Chapman
We are very sad to share news of the recent passing of Mary Chapman. Mary along with husband Alan and the Hyde family established the Rossendale Trust 50 years ago. Having welcomed their son Richard into the world, Mary and Alan soon recognised that were no services available for people with learning disabilities or their families within our local area and from that their vision was born. In 1973 they purchased Rossendale Hall and the rest as they say is history. Having established its foundation the Trust has gone on to thrive and grow into the organisation we are today. It is thanks to the support and commitment of the community, businesses and individuals, like Mary. Mary will be fondly remembered by us all.
