Fashion Show Returns
Oh what a night!
At the end of September our annual Fashion Show finally returned. Due to Covid restrictions this hugely popular event had not taken place since 2019. But finally staff and tenants from the Trust were once again able to hit the catwalk.
The annual Fashion Show provides a perfect opportunity for everyone at the Trust to join together and showcase to the local community the fabulous work that we do to support the people in our care.
Despite a 3-year break everyone involved returned to the catwalk with such confidence and a huge amount of exuberance. The atmosphere was electric, the tunes were pumping and our models returned to the catwalk oozing style. Walking out in front of a full house at the Masonic Hall, Macclesfield, the audience were treated to a spectacular show which raised over £1800 for the Trust. The money raised will support people living at the Trust, offering them opportunities to take part in activities such as theatre trips, holidays and sporting activities.
Sue Heaven, Head of PR & Fundraising at the Trust explained how important the event is. “Every year when our tenants hit the catwalk, they amaze us all. They embrace the moment and show the audience how important it is to encourage and promote inclusivity. This year, there was hardly a dry eye in the house as our models walked up and down the catwalk and everyone at the Trust feels immensely proud of those who took part and the staff who supported them.”
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended on the evening and to all the wonderful businesses who supported us including SOS Clothing Parties, Jola Designs Ltd Bibiemjay jewellery VRJJ Candles Cheryl Sparkes NYR Organic Independent Consultant Mal & Kevin Boardman and Karen Hill . And of course thank you to the Macclesfield Masonic Hall for hosting our event.
