Parachuting for the Trust

Two supporters of the Rossendale Trust took on the challenge of a lifetime recently by throwing themselves out of a plane, with parachutes of course! Raising over £1500.

Mark and Kelly wanted to do something a bit different, they thought parachuting might inspire people to sponsor them to help the charity they felt close to. Hurling yourself out of an aeroplane above the Cheshire plains at 10, 000ft? Hurtling to the ground at 125mph! Oh and Kelly is afraid of heights… would that not inspire a donation?

Mark Shelley said, ‘It was my pleasure to do the jump for the Rossendale Trust, what an experience! It was lovely meeting the care support workers and the fantastic Trust tenants’.

Sue Heaven (Head of PR and Fundraising at the Rossendale Trust) said, ‘This is a great effort by Mark and Kelly, their funds will make a real difference to the people we support. It can’t be easy to throw yourself out of plane!’

And it’s not too late to be inspired to donate and you can here:

Watch a great film of their day below:

I was sent to make blood tests to check the liver and then I was prescribed a dose of Accutane. I started with 20 mg. Honestly, it was scary that it wouldn’t help me. I knew that the result wouldn’t show up immediately, but I was patient, and I have coped with it! I am satisfied with Generic Accutane. I have got used not to drinking alcohol. As for the side effects, there was a horrible dryness of the lips.

To create an environment in which people can develop and grow, enabling them to have ownership of their own lives and futures.

To meet the needs of the people in our care by supporting them to live a full and meaningful life.
