Make A Difference

Decorating or gardening around the homes, clearing land and building polytunnels at our horticultural site, preparation for our annual fete, the opportunities available across our services are wide and varied and we are always finding new and exciting things for your team to get stuck into!

Our make a difference days are very popular and we have such positive feedback from volunteers who take part.

Daniel Astley, Barclays, volunteered to help tidy the pool at Rossendale

“The highlight of the day was taking before and after photos of the pond which showed the work we had done and also meeting the friendly and welcoming tenants. I really feel we made a difference as we relieved some of the pressure on the staff by taking care of some of the jobs they don’t have time to do.”

Stuart Johnstone, Nationwide, helped with the grounds maintenance at Rossendale

“It was great to really get stuck in helping out, cutting down trees and being outdoors! I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with some of the tenants and hearing their great stories. Doing some of the tasks that maybe they can’t do made it feel like we really made a difference.”
