WorkTaste Coaches

Could you be a WorkTaste Coach?

The Rossendale Trust provides supported living to adults with learning disabilities in Macclesfield and Buxton. The WorkTaste initiative was launched to provide our tenants and people who live in the wider community with the experience of spending time in a working environment.

We are currently recruiting job coaches to work specifically with students aged 16-24 who have an EHCP and in their final year of education and are undertaking a Supported Internship. Supported Internships are work-based learning placements within mainstream employment settings. The aim is for the student to secure a job at the end of the placement.

By working in a specific way, the job coach’s aim is to support the student in their work placement over the academic year, enabling them to become independent in the job role whilst developing a strong partnership between the employer, the college and the supported employment provider.

These positions are based in Macclesfield, Poynton, Wilmslow & Knutsford areas with travel to surrounding areas involved (this depends on where the placements are based). It is therefore essential that applicants have a full driving licence and use of their own car with business insurance. Mileage expenses will be paid (subject to terms and conditions).

Fixed term, term time only contract to start mid-August 2024, ending mid-August 2025 subject to review.

15-30 hours per week, worked over four days (days differ depending on location and hours) 8.30am/9.00am – 5.00pm.

Rate of pay: £11.67 per hour. Salary will be calculated once a start date is arranged. The salary includes holiday pay and is paid over the full duration of the contract.

Experience is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided. A full job profile can be found below.
