Make A Difference Days

Volunteering at one of our sites is a fun and rewarding way for your team to develop new skills, work closely with colleagues and engage with our community. Whether you’re a group of 3 or 30, looking for an indoor or outdoor project, we can help identify the right volunteer opportunity for your business or organisation.

WorkTaste Supported Employment

WorkTaste is an initiative which allows those otherwise excluded from the workplace by reason of their disability to have the opportunity of supported employment. For the people who are provided with care and support by the Trust, the step into conventional supported employment would probably be too great, but WorkTaste exists to offer a pathway made up of smaller steps.

We work in close partnership with local businesses and community projects across a wide range of settings. Sectors which regularly offer placements are hospitality, retail, offices and production facilities. During a placement, a WorkTaste Coach will work alongside the participant on a one to one basis, to train, support and mentor them whilst they undertake tasks set by the partner organisation. Typically, a placement is for 2 hours a week over a 4-6 week period and it is completely free to the employer. 

Sponsor an Event

Throughout the year we put on many fundraising events for the public to enjoy and all of which raise vital funds for the Trust. 

Your company can help us by sponsoring an event. Packages vary depending on the event and full details of our current sponsorship packages can be obtained by contacting our Head of Fundraising, Sue Heaven. Either call 01260 252500 or email sue.heaven@rossendaletrust.org

In return for your sponsorship, you will receive acknowledgements on our social media channels, website and in our newsletter as well as advertising opportunities at the event and all whilst helping a fantastic local charity raise vital funds for the people it supports.
