Group Leader – Macclesfield
We are seeking a Group Leader to come and join our friendly and supportive team.
This is a permanent role based in Macclesfield.
You role will be to ensure all care and support is delivered with a person centred approach and to promote independence and choice at the Rossendale Trust.
Principal responsibilities
• To ensure that support to tenants is delivered in a person-centred way
• To line manage staff
• To support the Operations Manager by compiling and maintaining cost effective rotas, and ensuring rotas are fully operational
• In the absence of the Operations Manager, to be responsible for day to day cover for any issues that may require immediate resolution
•To ensure that thorough risk assessments are in place for all tenants in line with trust policies
• To ensure that accurate daily logs and evidence are recorded to comply with regulatory requirements, e.g. for CQC, local authorities, supporting people
• To take part in the on-call system
• To assist and enable tenants to access daily activities of their choice
• To liaise with other professionals and families, remembering the tenant’s rights and confidentiality
• To initiate and attend all staff meetings and to provide feedback to the Operations Manager and ensure that information is passed on to staff via effective minute taking
Requirements
• 40 hours per week. Mixture of shifts and office work
• Alternate weekend working
• Flexible approach to hours worked to ensure there is always a Group Leader or Operations Manager on duty
• Willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
• Experience of mentoring and coaching staff
• Computer literate
• Valid driving licence and willing to use own vehicle
• Confidentiality essential
