Could you work a few hours and make a big difference?
The Rossendale Trust provides supported living to adults with learning disabilities in Sutton, Macclesfield and Buxton. In 2013 the WorkTaste initiative was launched to provide our tenants and people who live in the wider community with the experience of spending time in a working environment.
Local businesses and community projects are recruited to host short workplace opportunities. A WorkTaste Coach will support and mentor the individual to undertake the tasks set by the host organisation. Recording progress and encouraging individuals in consolidating and developing their skills is a key part of the position.
On completion of each WorkTaste placement the individual will require support in creating a portfolio which can be shared with prospective hosts at interview.
