Spring Fair at Rossendale
The Rossendale Trust spring fair was held on May 5, supporting the work of Oakwood, the Trust’s day activity service. The sunny weather brought visitors from far and wide to purchase some great items made – and grown – by the people who attend Oakwood.
This year there was an even wider range of produce available: personalised items created by our media group, many quirky craft & art works, a range of individual woodcrafts as well as everything needed to plant out and brighten gardens for the summer.
A delicious menu of hot food was on offer, made and served by Oakwood’s cookery group.
Jason Blythe (Oakwood Day Service Manager) said, “Thank you to everyone who supported the event and made it such a great success. It’s always a pleasure to show off the great work done by Oakwood. It was wonderful day which raised more than £1600!”
