Get your trainers on…

We have places left in the Great Manchester 10K run. We would like anyone, from elite athletes to first time distance runners, to consider lacing up their trainers and running for the Trust.

Funds raised will be used for the WorkTaste programme which supports individuals with a learning disability to take part in the world of work. Trained WorkTaste coaches accompany people on work placements, giving as much support as may be needed for the person to engage with the workforce. Giving vulnerable adults a real taste of the world of work is a team effort … and that’s why we need a team of runners to help to ensure the continuation of the project!

Sue Heaven, Head of Fundraising at the Trust said, “We are very excited to be putting a team into this fantastic local run. WorkTaste is such a wonderful project giving individuals with a disability the chance of work. Money raised will go a long way to help to the project and change many individuals lives at the Trust……get your trainers on and show us your support”.

If you are interested in taking part in this iconic run, whilst raising money for a great cause please don’t hesitate to contact us at karl.downing@rossendaletrust.org or call 01260
